Secretary-General of ASEAN to participate in the Munich Security Conference 2026 and to conduct a Working Visit to the Federal Republic of Germany

At the invitation of the President of the Foundational Council of the Munich Security Conference and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will lead the ASEAN Secretariat delegation to participate in the Munich Security Conference 2026 in Munich, followed by a Working Visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, on 11-17 February 2026. The working visit coincides with the 10th Anniversary of the ASEAN-Germany Development Partnership, where Dr. Kao is scheduled to meet with high-level government officials, representatives of the private sector, and members of academia. He will also deliver remarks on "Geopolitics and ASEAN's Role in a Multipolar World" at the Hertie School of Governance of The University of Governance in Berlin, participate in a Dialogue Forum with leading German think tanks, as well as join the ASEAN-Germany Business Roundtable.
