Stony Brook University President Andrea Goldsmith has announced the finalists for the third annual Stony Awards, which will be presented in December.
The awards are the university's official way of publicly acknowledging and rewarding its most exceptional employees, nominated by their peers and selected by leadership. They recognize exceptional individuals who exemplify the values Stony Brook stands for, are committed to Stony Brook's mission and values and consistently go above and beyond in their jobs.
"Today it is my honor to announce the finalists for the 2025 Stony Awards in celebration of exemplary achievements across our community," said Goldsmith in her September 9 message to the university community. "Our selection committee reviewed hundreds of nominations, each a testament to your talent and dedication."

The President's Stony Brook Champion Award will be presented to one of the five other award winners.
The awards ceremony will be held at Flowerfield in St. James on Monday, December 8 at 6 pm.
