Rep. Aguilar on the Release of the Israeli Hostages

Rep. Pete Aguilar released the following statement on the release of all the living Israeli hostages as part of the Israel-Hamas peace plan:

"After more than two years of daily grief and suffering, I'm so relieved and thankful to see the remaining living hostages are now home with their loved ones who never gave up. My heart is with all of those celebrating their reunions today.

"I'm also grateful to the families of the hostages and those impacted by the horrific October 7th attack for their relentless efforts to return those held captive and to ensure they were never forgotten as the war continued. Now, we must ensure the survivors have everything they need to heal from this nightmare.

"I'm more hopeful than ever that this marks a new chapter of peace and stability in the region and a safer and more secure future for Israel and Gaza. I will continue to follow the implementation of the Israel-Hamas peace plan and the negotiations in the next phases in the deal."
