Caltrans Maintenance Crews will be performing needed pavement resurfacing work at the I-5/SR-152 Interchange near Los Banos to safeguard the roadway for motorists and avoid future long-term traffic impacts to the traveling public.
As a result of the pavement work next week, Caltrans will have full closures in place for the northbound I-5 to westbound SR-152 on/off ramps and the southbound I-5 to eastbound & westbound SR-152 on/off ramps. The work is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Caltrans is advising motorists of potential traffic delays, to exercise patience, and if needed seek alternative routes. Highway overhead and portable message signs will be activated to alert the traveling public of scheduled lane and ramp closures and traffic detours.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
For the safety of workers and other motorists, please Be Work Zone Alert. Caltrans also reminds motorists to #KnowBeforeYouGo by checking QuickMaps on your mobile device or visit quickmap.dot.ca.gov for real-time highway conditions.
