Milling And Resurfacing Route 8 Northbound between Exit 51 Onramps and Offramps in Torrington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that milling and resurfacing will be performed on Route 8 Northbound between the exit 51 on and offramps. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday June 7, 2026, and be completed on the same night. Project DOT01740468CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 200-foot section of the left and center lanes on Route 8 Northbound.

This project is being performed by Waters Construction.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

There will be a left and center lane closures on Route 8 Northbound between the exit 51 on and offramps on Sunday June 7, 2026. Work is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and be completed the same night. Traffic control signing patterns, portable impact attenuation systems and State Police will guide motorists through the work zone.
