ALPINE COUNTY - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will not conduct traffic controls in Alpine County next week.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) re-opened State Route 89 (Monitor Pass) at the SR-4/89 Junction and US-395, as of 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) re-opened State Route 4 (Ebbetts Pass) at Lake Alpine and the SR-4/89 Junction, as of 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026.
All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
