Athletics to hold annual Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night at basketball games Wednesday

Athletics Tuesday February 17, 2026

You are cordially invited to join your Bobcat community for a special Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night at the Georgia College & State University Men's and Women's basketball games Wednesday (Feb. 18) against the University of North Georgia!

Athletics has admission and food covered! Each faculty/staff and guests will receive free admission, a hot dog and popcorn! It's our way of saying thanks!

This evening also features our senior student-athletes saying thank you to a faculty/staff member that has made a meaningful impact on their career. These faculty/staff members will be escorted out by a student-athlete at halftime of the men's basketball contest. We are excited to bring our campus community together for an evening of celebration, connection and Bobcat basketball.

Event details:

Approximately 7 p.m. - Senior ceremony honoring our women's and men's basketball senior scholar-athletes (between men's and women's games)

Approximately 7:30 p.m. - Tipoff of men's basketball game

Halftime - Special walkout featuring chosen faculty/staff of senior athletes with special remarks from President Cox

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with and show your support for our seniors and enjoy some exciting basketball action. The halftime walkout will be a memorable moment as we celebrate the partnership between our faculty, staff and student-athletes.

We hope to see you there as we come together to support our Bobcats and celebrate the strength of our Georgia College community!

Thank you and Go Bobcats!
