Recognizing Power Plant Employee Appreciation Day

Cleco is celebrating Power Plant Employee Appreciation Day to recognize the hard work of the individuals who help power Louisiana.

"Our power plant employees, including our key support personnel, work around the clock to generate reliable electricity for our customers," said Robert Breedlove, chief operations officer at Cleco. "Working behind the scenes, our teams are essential in keeping the power on each and every day."

Across Louisiana, nearly 300 Cleco employees are responsible for eight generation units at five facilities to keep Cleco's power plants running safely, reliably and efficiently for the company's nearly 300,000 customers.

"Our power plant workers are often the unsung heroes during large weather events like Winter Storm Fern, when additional crews were deployed and maintenance personnel remained on-site 24/7 to address any potential emergencies," said Breedlove. "Their dedication to keep our plants online to provide reliable service to our customers and communities is vital to Cleco's mission."
