Texas Restaurant Association Announced Retirement of East Texas Chapter Chair Bob Westbrook After 30 Years of Service

AUSTIN, Texas (Aug. 15, 2025)
- The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) today announced the retirement of longtime East Texas Chapter Chair Bob Westbrook, marking the end of an extraordinary 30-year legacy of service to East Texas' restaurant community and the TRA.

Westbrook has been a steadfast advocate for the restaurant industry, leading countless initiatives to support operators, strengthen local economies, and advance the TRA's mission. Known for his deep commitment to East Texas and his ability to bring people together, Westbrook leaves behind a strong chapter poised for continued growth and impact.

"Bob's leadership and dedication have shaped the East Texas Chapter," said Emily Williams Knight, Ed.D., President & CEO of the Texas Restaurant Association. "His decades of service have made a lasting difference for restaurant owners, their employees, and the communities they serve."

Following in Westbrook's footsteps is Scott Williams, CEO of Mandoline Hospitality, who will serve as East Texas Chapter Chair through the remainder of 2025 and into 2026. A seasoned industry leader, Williams brings both a wealth of experience and a passion for strengthening the chapter's foundation. Having worked every role in the restaurant business-from busser at 16 to chef and manager-he is now a successful multi-concept owner. Since purchasing San Pedro's in Chandler in 2012, Williams has launched and grown an acclaimed portfolio that includes FD's GrillHouse, Javi's Restaurant, Twelve Kitchen + Cocktails, III Palms, and Villaggio del Vino, together employing more than 400 team members across East Texas.

"I'm honored to follow Bob and continue the work he's led so passionately," Williams said. "The East Texas restaurant community is full of Texas-sized opportunities, and I look forward to collaborating with members to elevate our businesses and strengthen our voice."
