Port Clinton High School

Kathy Davis - Kathy Davis has been a valued member of Port Clinton City Schools since 2015. She quickly became a favorite with students and a respected colleague. In her role as an IEP aide, Kathy went above and beyond in supporting individual students, she reinforced instruction one-on-one and in small groups, and used her positive attitude to support students and help them stay engaged. Her calm, patient approach made students feel safe and confident, and she built trusting relationships with families and teachers.

In addition to her role in the classroom, Kathy was always willing to take on extra duties, including work with the Summer Crew.

Thank you, Kathy, for your years of service, dedication, and the many ways you have supported our students and PCCSD team. We wish you all the best in your retirement.

Rick Dominick - Rick Dominick, our PCHS Athletic Director and Guidance Counselor, will be retiring at the end of the 2025-26 school year. Rick's journey with the Port Clinton City School District began in the 1996-97 school year as a high school Business Teacher. During his career, he also made significant contributions in various roles, including VLA Instructor and Mentor Teacher. Later, as a Guidance Counselor, he was instrumental in helping students with their class scheduling to achieve success. He also spearheaded the HOBY Award nominations for our students.

In athletics, Rick has dedicated himself to our students through coaching and leadership, serving as Head Boys Golf Coach for TWENTY years, Boys Basketball Coach at the Middle School, Frosh, JV, and Varsity levels, as well as Assistant Girls Basketball Coach. Over the years, he has organized countless recognition ceremonies to celebrate our student-athletes' success both on the playing field and in the classroom. During his career, Rick has been a Class Advisor and Key Club Advisor.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for Rick's years of service and commitment to the Port Clinton City School District. We wish him all the best in his retirement. Thank you, Rick!

Port Clinton Middle School

Ron Aukerman - Ron Aukerman began his career with Port Clinton City Schools during the 1996-97 school year as a long-term substitute teacher. Over the years, he has impacted generations of students, both in the classroom and through his supervision of extracurricular activities.

Starting as a Math Teacher, Ron later transitioned to the STEM program and took on the role of coach for the PCMS Robotics Team. He spent his entire career at the nationally recognized Port Clinton Middle School.

His commitment to PC Athletics is noteworthy, encompassing Middle School Football, Middle School Track, Middle School Girls Basketball, High School Girls Golf, Assistant Junior Varsity and Varsity Baseball, Assistant Girls Basketball Coach, and Youth Sports Director.

In addition to his teaching and coaching responsibilities, Ron embraced leadership roles within the district, serving as Department Chair for Industrial Technology and Math for grades 6-12, Middle School Fleet Leader, Mentor Teacher, and a member of the K-12 Math Course of Study Committee. He served on the design committee during the planning of the new Port Clinton Middle School.

Outside of regular school hours, he further supported students as the Detention Supervisor, Morning Supervisor, and Middle School Student Council Advisor.

Throughout his career as an educator, Ron has filled countless roles, leaving a lasting impact on our school district and students. He will be greatly missed, and yet we are extremely grateful for his dedicated service to PC Schools. We wish him all the best in his retirement.

Diane Dunn - We are grateful that Diane Dunn began her journey with Port Clinton City Schools in 2002-03. From the start, she was an engaged and dedicated teacher - a commitment that never wavered.

Mrs. Dunn's dedication to education was evident throughout her career. She took on many roles to support academics and her peers such as Fleet Leader, Science (grades 6-12) Chair, Study Tables Supervisor, Math Tutor, LPDC, Mentor Teacher, and was part of the Course of Study and Data Analysis Teams. Additionally, she served as Summer School and Detention Supervisor.

She has been beloved by her students for the duration of her career, both inside and outside of the classroom, encouraging her students to participate in extracurricular activities as the Robotics Team Co-Coach, Builders Club Advisor, and Yearbook Advisor.

A testament to her impact: on opening day she was photographed with TEN of her former students, who are now also staff members at PCCSD. Diane will be greatly missed at Port Clinton City Schools. After such a dedicated career, we must wish her a well-deserved happy retirement.

Teresa Fillmore - Before officially starting her teaching career at PC Schools in 2010, Teresa Fillmore contributed as a Summer and After School Resource Intervention Specialist and a long-term substitute. She also was part of the district's Strategic Planning Team.

As a kindergarten teacher, Teresa warmly welcomes some of our youngest learners each day. Her dedication as an educator is evident as she has served as the Kindergarten Department Chair for numerous years and has an active role in organizing the annual Kindergarten Kick-off. Throughout her career, Teresa has contributed to various summer programs such as Summer Success, Summer Seedlings, Dial S for Success, and served as a Special Needs Intervention Instructor.

Upon Teresa's retirement, we reflect on her personal statement made at the time of her hiring, a goal she has consistently achieved: "I value education. I set high standards for my students. At the same time, I am flexible enough to adjust goals, materials, and methods to fit individual needs."

We thank Teresa Fillmore for her service to Port Clinton City Schools and wish her the best in retirement.

Laura Ciacelli - Laura Ciacelli began her journey with Port Clinton City School District in 2001. She has been a server and cashier in Food Service, a van driver, a teacher's aide in kindergarten, a general aide, and an IEP aide. Her commitment and versatility have touched almost every school building, both old and new: Bataan, Catawba, Portage, and Port Clinton Middle School. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Laura for her dedicated service and wish her a wonderful retirement.

Kim Halcomb - Kim Halcomb has served as the administrative assistant at Bataan Memorial Intermediate Elementary, where she welcomed students, parents, staff and visitors each school day. In 2015, she began her career with the Port Clinton City School District. Each day she manages daily office operations, supporting teachers and families.
