Dubai-Dentons has advised Reigate Grammar School International (RGSI) on two significant education sector transactions in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Istanbul, Turkey, further supporting RGSI's international growth strategy.
In Turkey, Dentons advised RGSI on its partnership with Ugur Okullari concerning a licence to open and operate a new school under the Reigate name in Istanbul, marking an important milestone in the development of high-quality British education offerings in the region. The Dentons team advising on the Turkish transaction comprised partners Ross Barfoot and Karolina Cotronei, together with Istanbul office partner Doğan Eymirlioğlu and counsel Sinem Mermer.
In Malaysia, Dentons advised RGSI on its licensing and operations agreement with Beaconhouse to establish and operate Reigate Grammar School Kuala Lumpur, expanding the Reigate brand's presence in the Malaysian international education market. The Dentons team was led by partners Ross Barfoot and Karolina Cotronei, with support from Kuala Lumpur senior partner Salwah Abdul Shukor and associate Jing Ru Gan.
