Florida Strain Bass Released into Toledo Bend

(Hemphill, TX) The Sabine River Authority of Texas (SRA) recently released 77,000 Florida Strain Largemouth Bass Fingerlings into Toledo Bend Reservoir. The fingerlings purchased by SRA from Tyler Fish Farm were released in coordination with the Inland Fisheries Division of Texas Parks and Wildlife. The fingerlings were released in the East Hamilton and Bayou Siepe area of the reservoir. Improving the quality of recreational fishing at Toledo Bend remains an ongoing initiative of SRA with recent investments in artificial fish habitat and new boat ramp facilities.
