Citizen Spotlight: Jason Lindstrom

I would like to recognize Jason Lindstrom of Alpha for my latest Citizen Spotlight feature. Jason's contributions to his local communities include service, mentorship, and music. Currently, Jason is preparing to retire from his long career at the Kewanee Life Skills Re-Entry Center. His service there has touched countless lives and will continue to do so for years to come. Jason has also had tremendous impacts in the areas of martial arts and music.

From Jason's nominator: "For many years, Jason has been a guiding force and mentor to countless students at his martial arts studio, Patient Warrior. Through his steady leadership and patient instructions, he has helped people young and old develop not only physical skills, but also confidence, discipline, and respect.

"Jason has been an integral part of the local music scene for over three decades. As a talented musician and tireless supporter of live performance, he has mentored, inspired, and collaborated with numerous artists, enriching our region's cultural life and helping to sustain a vibrant creative community.

"Jason has given countless hours volunteering for community events such as the Levitt AMP Galva Music Series and the Back Road Music Festival, as well as many other causes and organizations that strengthen and unite our community and the area as a whole. He has also dedicated himself to raising awareness and funds for juvenile diabetes research and advocacy, demonstrating deep compassion and a desire to make life better for others."

In conclusion, Jason's nominator said, "Jason Lindstrom embodies the spirit of dedication, kindness, and community that makes our area such a special place to live. I can think of no one more deserving of this honor."
