Penn State Harrisburg to present 'Head Over Heels,' March 25-28

Penn State Harrisburg's School of Humanities will present its spring musical, "Head Over Heels," March 25-28.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's School of Humanities will present its spring musical, "Head Over Heels," from March 25 to 28, in the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre.

Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 25-27; and 2 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 28. The performance at 2 p.m. on March 28 will also offer special viewing accommodations for guests who prefer or need a more relaxed environment to watch the show.

"Head Over Heels," by Jeff Whitty, features the music of the Go-Go's, including songs such as "We Got the Beat," "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "Vacation," as well as Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" and "Mad About You."

The story follows a royal family on a journey to save their kingdom, discovering along the way that the key to its survival lies within themselves.

The production is directed by Emily MacLeod, assistant professor of English at Penn State Harrisburg.

The show contains mature themes related to sexuality and gender, as well as suggestive language and simulated violence. It is recommended for audiences ages 14 and older.

General admission is $10. Admission for Penn State Harrisburg students, faculty and staff is $5. Tickets can be purchased through the box office.
