Acetylsalicylic acid monopreparations for self-medication

NSAIDs for self-medication

Prescription-only NSAIDs

The information sheets produced during the group revision for analgesics in 2004 contain specimen texts for medicinal product information that have been updated by Swissmedic on several occasions. As with all therapeutic areas, it is the responsibility of marketing authorisation holders to ensure that Information for healthcare professionals and patients reflect the latest scientific and technical findings. In addition, and as it does with all other medicinal products, Swissmedic will ensure that product information texts undergo uniform assessment during application review. The generally applicable requirements are set out in the Guidance document Product information for human medicinal products and in the official templates for Information for healthcare professionals and patients. Separate information sheets containing specimen texts for individual therapeutic areas are therefore no longer necessary.
