APMA Calls for Improvements to Imaging Interoperability in RFI Response

Last week, APMA responded to a Department of Health & Human Services' "Request for Information: Diagnostic Imaging Interoperability Standards and Certification," expressing strong support for improving standards for imaging interoperability. APMA also stressed that while addressing these information silos is critical, it is also important to ensure that the process for implementation and adoption of these universal standards does not result in increased compliance and accessibility burdens for providers and their patients, particularly small and solo practitioners providing images directly in their offices.
