NEW YORK, NY - Casting for the final week of American Ballet Theatre's 2025 Fall season at the David H. Koch Theater was announced today by Artistic Director Susan Jaffe.

ABT@85:Innovations Past and Present will feature the Juliano Nunes World Premiere, Have We Met?!, Alexei Ratmansky's Serenade after Plato's Symposium, George Balanchine's Theme and Variations, and The Sleeping Beauty, Act III. A special Halloween program on the evening of October 31 will include Agnes de Mille's Rodeo, Christian Spuck's Le Grand Pas de Deux, Frederick Ashton's Rhapsody pas de deux, and Balanchine's Theme and Variations.

Have We Met?!, a new commission by Juliano Nunes, will have its World Premiere on Wednesday, October 29, led by Hee Seo, Isaac Hernández, Catherine Hurlin, and Daniel Camargo. Chloe Misseldine, Joo Won Ahn, Isabella Boylston, and Joseph Markey will debut in these roles on Thursday, October 30. Set to music by Luke Howard, the ballet tells the story of two inseparable souls who reconnect across different lifetimes. Nunes's first work for ABT, Have We Met?! features sets and costumes by Youssef Hotait and lighting by Brad Fields.

The first performance of Alexei Ratmansky's Serenade after Plato's Symposium on Wednesday, October 29, will be led by James Whiteside, Herman Cornejo, Calvin Royal III, Takumi Miyake, Jarod Curley, Patrick Frenette, Tyler Maloney, and SunMi Park. The performance on Thursday, October 30, will include debuts by Sung Woo Han, Jake Roxander, Carlos Gonzalez, Michael de la Nuez, Luigi Crispino, and Andrii Ishchuk. An abstract discourse on love that is widely considered to be one of Alexei Ratmansky's finest creations, Serenade after Plato's Symposium is set to music by Leonard Bernstein, with scenery and costumes by Jérôme Kaplan and lighting by Brad Fields.

George Balanchine's Theme and Variations, set to a score of the same name by Tchaikovsky from Suite No. 3 for Orchestra, will have its first performance of the season on Wednesday, October 29, led by Skylar Brandt and Sung Woo Han in his New York debut. The week will also include debuts by Isaac Hernández on October 30 and Daniel Camargo on October 31, as well as New York debuts by Catherine Hurlin on October 30 and Chloe Misseldine on October 31. Theme and Variations was created for Ballet Theatre and received its World Premiere at New York's City Center on November 26, 1947, danced by Alicia Alonso and Igor Youskevitch. A neo-classical masterpiece, Theme and Variations features scenery and costumes by Zack Brown and lighting by Brad Fields.

The performance of Agnes de Mille's Rodeo on October 31 will feature debuts by Zimmi Coker as the Cowgirl and Joseph Markey as the Champion Roper. The humorous love story is set to music by Aaron Copland and features scenery by Oliver Smith, costumes by Santo Loquasto, and lighting by Thomas Skelton.

The season's final performance of The Sleeping Beauty, Act III, will take place at the matinee on Saturday, November 1, with Hee Seo and Cory Stearns debuting in the leading roles. Depicting the lavish wedding of Princess Aurora and Prince Désiré from the classic ballet, complete with an assortment of fairy tale guests, this new staging by Susan Jaffe, after choreography by Marius Petipa, is set to the score by Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky and features costumes by Willa Kim, with additional designs by Holly Hynes, and lighting by Brad Fields.
