HONOLULU - The Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of State Parks (DLNR DSP) announces the extended closure of the Castle Beach parking lot at Mālaekahana State Recreation Area on Oʻahu. The improvement work starts today and is estimated to be completed in the first half of 2027.
The construction project will upgrade and enlarge the current parking area footprint to include 56 parking spaces and three ADA-compliant parking stalls, for greater accessibility for all visitors.
Ke Nui Construction was awarded the contract for the improvement work at a cost of $150,000.
