HDOT to conduct runway work at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport - July 13

HONOLULU - The Hawai'i Department of Transportation (HDOT) is scheduled to close Runway 8R/26L from 8 p.m. Monday, July 13, to 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, for runway painting and maintenance. The work will include surface painting of holding position markers on taxiways, eradicating and seal coating taxiway shoulder markings and centerline, barrier fence maintenance and grass cutting.

During the closure, Runway 8L will be the primary arrival and departure runway.

HDOT has coordinated with airlines and other partners to minimize impacts to flights. All work is weather permitting.

HDOT appreciates the community's patience and understanding while the needed work is conducted to ensure safe operations at HNL.
