M-90 lane closure over North Branch Flint River June 10-24 in Lapeer County

DAVISON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close one lane of M-90 over the North Branch Flint River in Lapeer County to allow crews to safely finish final work from last year's $3.5 million investment to improve M-90 from M-24 to the west village limit of North Branch.

County:
Lapeer

Highway:
M-90

Closest community:
North Branch

Start date:
Wednesday, June 10, 2026

End date:
Wednesday, June 24, 2026

Traffic Restrictions:
Traffic will be maintained with a single-lane closure. A temporary traffic signal will be in place at the bridge over the North Branch Flint River.

Jobs numbers:
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 30 jobs.

Safety benefit:
These improvements will increase driver safety and extend the service lives of both the road and the bridge.

Lane closures during this type of work are necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists.
