Juneteenth Festival at Water Street PlazaJoin us on Thursday, June 19,from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Henderson's annual Juneteenth Festivalat Water Street Plaza. This free event is a dynamic evening filled with music, culture, and community spirit. The celebration features performances by nationally acclaimed artists, including:
Food and community vendors will be onsite. Admission is free and all seating is general admission. |
Art Exhibition: "Juneteenth in the Present"Now on view at Henderson City Hall, "Juneteenth in the Present: An Art Exhibition" explores the meaning of freedom and the ongoing journey toward equality through a powerful collection of visual artworks. The exhibit runs through July 20 and can be viewed during regular City Hall business hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 240 S. Water Street. A community reception celebrating the exhibit will be held on Saturday, June 21, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Henderson City Hall. Those in attendance will enjoy a special appearance by Dr. Brittany Soul Sharp, a 16-time award-winning singer, songwriter and poet. |
