Metropolitan issues update on Weymouth Water Treatment Plant fire incident

Metropolitan is continuing to work with the La Verne Fire Department, La Verne Police Department, Los Angeles County Fire, and Air Quality Management District in response to the fire incident at the battery energy storage system at our La Verne facility.

Metropolitan's water supply and water quality have not been impacted by this incident, and our water treatment operations remain unaffected.

Metropolitan appreciates the La Verne community for their cooperation. We know this has been a challenging experience for the residents and businesses and we appreciate their cooperation and patience as we work diligently to ensure the community is safe.
