Amazon Leo mission updates: Nearly 400 satellites in orbit; next Ariane 6 launch date announced

Amazon Leo, formerly Project Kuiper, is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities beyond the reach of existing networks, and we began a full-scale deployment of our satellite constellation in April 2025.
Amazon Leo has launched nearly 400 satellites to date across 14 missions since that initial launch, making it the third-largest constellation in orbit. The program now operates one of the largest, most advanced satellite production lines on the planet, and with a launch manifest that includes more than 100 missions, the team is moving quickly to grow the constellation as it prepares to roll out service to customers around the world.

NET November 23: Arianespace to launch 36 Leo satellites on fourth Leo-Ariane mission of 2026
Arianespace is preparing to deploy 36 Amazon Leo satellites into low Earth orbit, with liftoff targeted for no earlier than (NET) November 23, 2026, from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana. The exact launch window will be shared closer to the mission. Named LE-04 (Leo Europe 4), this will be our fourth launch on Ariane 6 this year, and the second Arianespace mission to fly the larger 36-satellite payload for Amazon Leo. Upon successful deployment, it will bring the total number of Leo satellites launched by Arianespace to 136.
Satellites for Amazon Leo's LE-04 mission arrive in French Guiana for processing ahead of launch on Ariane 6.
Ariane 6 will deploy the satellites at an altitude of approximately 289 miles (465 kilometers) above Earth, at which point the Amazon Leo team will assume control of the mission from our 24-hour mission operations center in Redmond, Washington. Following initial contact and health checks, the satellites will be raised to their assigned operational altitude of 392 miles (630 kilometers) and fully commissioned to begin delivering service to customers.
