Honeywell Aerospace (HONA) shares rose 5.4% on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, outpacing a 0.3% gain for the S&P 500. The company reported third-quarter results that beat analysts' estimates for both adjusted earnings per share and revenue, but the release came after the market closed that day, so it did not drive the rise. Two of its four peers on the Trefis list also rose. How big was the beat, and what did management change in its outlook?

Honeywell Aerospace Beat Estimates And Raised Its EPS Forecast

Honeywell Aerospace reported $2.21 in adjusted earnings per share for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, against an estimate of $1.87. Revenue reached $4.64 billion, against an estimate of $4.57 billion. Management said sales grew 2.4% on its organic measure, outpacing its own expectation of flat to slightly higher sales, because mechanical output rose from the previous quarter. It also said a few deals closed earlier than expected, worth about 1 point of growth.

Management said customer demand continued to outpace what its suppliers could deliver. Orders grew in every end market, with Defense & Space and commercial aftermarket up double digits. The book-to-bill ratio, measuring new orders against sales, was 1.3 in the quarter.

Management raised its 2026 forecast for adjusted earnings per share to $7.85 to $8. It credited lower costs below operating profit than it had expected as a new public company. The company kept its forecast for 2026 organic sales growth at 4% to 5%, and said that implies fourth-quarter organic growth modestly below that range. The board also declared the company's first quarterly dividend of $0.40 a share, payable in December.

Did Honeywell Aerospace Rise With Industrial Stocks And Peers?

Industrial stocks rose far less than Honeywell Aerospace. The SPDR fund for the industrials sector (XLI) gained 0.3% that session, matching the S&P 500.

The four peers on the Trefis list split two and two. NorthStar Earth & Space Enterprises rose 5.7% and Lyntris gained 3.0%, while Firefly Aerospace and Astronics slipped.

Where Does Honeywell Aerospace Stock Stand After The Rise?

Since it began trading on June 29, 2026, Honeywell Aerospace has had three sessions with a rise at least this large. The latest was on August 19, 2026, when it gained 6.0%.

Even after the rise, the shares sit well below their peak. Honeywell Aerospace closed at $177.03 on October 28, against its highest close since its June 29 listing, $247.15 on July 2, 2026. The stock lost 13.4% over the three months to October 28, while the S&P 500 returned 4.4%. That stretch included a one-day fall of 23% on August 6. The past month brought a rebound: the stock returned 13.9%, against 1.0% for the S&P 500.

The company's next report covers the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. Organic sales growth for that quarter is the figure to watch, and management expects it to come in modestly below its full-year range.
