Celebrate 'spooky season' in The Ramble
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Fayetteville's downtown arts corridor, The Ramble, will come alive this fall with a trio of free, family-friendly Friday events celebrating the fun, creativity and cultural richness of the season.
From a classic spooky film to trick-or-treating and a Día de los Muertos promenade, the City of Fayetteville's Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs Department invites the community to join in these festive outdoor gatherings.
Spooky Season Film Night
Friday, Oct. 24, 7 p.m.
Kick off spooky season with a screening of Scooby-Doo (2002) under the stars. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and enjoy a night of mystery, laughter and nostalgia in the Upper Ramble. Pick up food and drinks nearby to enjoy in the park. Adults can also take advantage of the Outdoor Refreshment Area.
Trick-or-Treat on the Trail
Friday, Oct. 31, 4-6:30 p.m.
Now in its fourth year, this beloved Halloween tradition invites trick-or-treaters of all ages to explore the trails of the Lower Ramble, where City departments, the Rotary Club of Fayetteville, Experience Fayetteville and local businesses will hand out candy along the trails.
Attendees should note that one block of S. West Avenue (between Mountain and South streets) will be closed 3-6:30 p.m. for safe crossings. The main entrance is at 255 S. West Ave. Free parking is available nearby at the Fayetteville Public Library and the Mountain Street surface lot.
Community organizations interested in hosting candy stations may apply by Tuesday, Oct. 21 For details, contact Sarah Dilatush, arts and culture program assistant, at [email protected] or 479-841-6653.
