DeLauro Celebrates Virginia Paid Family and Medical Leave
Today, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) released a statement applauding Virginia for becoming the 15th state to enact a paid family and medical leave program:
"Americans are trapped in a cost-of-living crisis. When Democrats gain power, they respond. I applaud my friend and former colleague Governor of Virginia Abigail Spanberger, and the Democratic legislature for enacting a paid family and medical leave program that will give 3.2 million Virginians the tools to remain economically secure in the event of a life emergency.
"It is time for the U.S. Congress to send my FAMILY Act to the president's desk so that all Americans can have access to paid family and medical leave."
