High school students interested in a career in nursing will have two opportunities to explore the field along with some seasonal fun. The Beckley Nursing Boot Camp will take place on Saturday, October 4. The Charleston camp will be Tuesday, October 21.
The interactive experience at both locations will give students the chance to:
UC-Beckley
The day will start with a Trunk or Treatfrom 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Families are invited to enjoy a safe, festive Halloween celebration in the UC-Beckley parking lot, complete with decorated trunks and sweet treats provided by UC nursing students and faculty.
In the afternoon, high school students can trade candy for scrubs during UC-Beckley's free Nursing Boot Camp from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Space for the Nursing Boot Camp is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Students can secure their spot by contacting Kennita Thomas at [email protected]. Registration closes September 26.
Charleston Campus
In Charleston, the Nursing Boot Camp will be held on Tuesday, October 29, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This free, hands-on evening event promises a "Spooktacular" blend of fun and discovery, with interactive activities and more. Participants will gain a real taste of what it's like to study nursing while also enjoying a festive fall-themed night on campus.
