Sen. Jason T. Dickerson Announces Appointments to Senate Committees

ATLANTA (January 16, 2026) - This week, Sen. Jason T. Dickerson (R-Canton) announced his appointment to several Senate committees for the upcoming legislative session, marking an important step in his work as a freshman legislator to serve the families, farmers, veterans and small businesses of his district.

Sen. Dickerson has been appointed to the following committees:

  • Banking & Financial Institutions - Secretary
  • Government Oversight - Ex Officio
  • Natural Resources and the Environment
  • Public Safety
  • Transportation - Ex Officio
  • Veterans, Military and Homeland Security

"These committee assignments give me a meaningful opportunity to advocate for the everyday concerns of the people of the 21st Senate District, and I am grateful to the Lieutenant Governor for placing me on committees that I care deeply about," said Sen. Dickerson. "From strengthening public safety and improving transportation to supporting our veterans and protecting Georgia's natural resources, I am ready to hit the ground running and deliver practical solutions for hardworking Georgians."

Sen. Dickerson is a lifelong resident of Cherokee County and co-founded Quest Trucking, a long-haul transportation company that employed more than 500 people. Currently, he is the founder and president of Purple Chip Capital Management, a private investment firm specializing in identifying undervalued companies within the United States. He also runs The Jason T. Dickerson Family Foundation, where he and his family work to improve the quality of life for seniors, students, veterans and abused animals in Cherokee County.
