Heat Advisory & High-Fire Danger Burn Ban In Effect

Safety is our top priority during heat waves and dangerous fire conditions.

A Heat Advisory is in effect Tuesday, July 21 & Wednesday, July 22.

A High-Fire Danger Burn Ban is in effect until further notice.

Immediate Assistance

• Call or text 911 if you or someone else is experiencing a life threatening emergency.
• If you see someone outside you are concerned about, call police non-emergency at 503-629-0111 and request a welfare check.
• Call 211 for help finding shelter, transportation, or other assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Check in With Family, Friends, and Neighbors

Excessive heat significantly increases the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

Check in with your family, friends, and neighbors - especially young children, older adults, and people with chronic medical problems - as they are more vulnerable to heat-related illness.

Never leave pets or children unattended in vehicles.

Visit our libraries, Shute Park Aquatic & Recreation Center (SHARC), or Hidden Creek Community Center during their normal hours of operation to take a break from the high temperatures.

Access Centers & Day Centers

Access centers & day centers for people experiencing homelessness are available in Washington County.

Have fun & cool off at our spraygrounds. Most are open from 10 am to 8 pm daily from May through mid-September. Schedules may vary due to maintenance and repair. See updated hours and schedules.
