DALLAS - Ontario Brown, a math teacher and proud graduate of Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy at A. Maceo Smith, returned to his alma mater with a mission to give back. Brown is now using education to develop the next generation of young men, serving as both a teacher and a positive example of leadership. His story reflects a full-circle legacy - proving to his students that tomorrow's leaders are built right in their own hallways.

Dallas ISD Fam Jam delivers health screenings and academic support
Dallas ISD families are invited to the next Fam Jam, from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 19, at Dr. L.G. Pinkston Sr. High School. Designed to bring schools and neighborhoods together, the free community fair will feature on-site health screenings, student immunizations, academic enrichment activities, and local resource vendors. Attendees can also enjoy family-friendly games, giveaways, and interactive opportunities to connect with district support teams.

Booker T. Washington presents Shrek the Musical
Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts is celebrating 50 years as an arts magnet, and the students are continuing that legacy with an all-school production of Shrek the Musical. The showcase brings together student actors, pit orchestra musicians, dancers, set designers, and stage technicians that highlight half a century of creative excellence.
