The concert begins at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 30. Additionally, the ensemble will lead master classes for brass musicians at 3 p.m. and chamber music at 4 p.m. on the same day.
All events are free and open to the public in Charles Johnson Theater at the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building.
"This promises to be a fantastic performance, and we hope the Maryville and campus community join us for this special event," Dr. William Richardson, a professor of music at Northwest, said.
The Kansas City Symphony has rocketed to become one of the top orchestras in the United States. It performs a breadth of music in both orchestral and chamber formats, in addition to serving as the pit orchestra for both the Kansas City Ballet and Lyric Opera of Kansas City.
The Kansas City Symphony Brass Quintet's visit to Northwest is sponsored by the Missouri Arts Council.
