APG Federal Credit Union has appointed Monica Worrell as their new business banking loan officer.
Worrell began her career with APGFCU in 2018 as the business development director for Harford County. In this role, she focused on building and nurturing relationships with partner organizations and promoting APGFCU's products and services to those who live, work, worship, or attend school in the communities served by the credit union.
As the business banking loan officer, Worrell is committed to helping businesses secure financing by assessing their financial needs, analyzing creditworthiness and guiding them through the loan application process to support their growth and success.
"Monica's vast experience and dedication to building strong community relationships will serve her well in this role," stated Chief Lending Officer Scott Weaver. "Her commitment to helping businesses succeed aligns with APGFCU's mission to support the financial well-being of our members. "
Worrell's diverse background includes experience in both the private and public sectors, spanning local government, public safety, hospitality, healthcare, and finance. She has owned a small restaurant and ice cream shop, and she has held C-suite positions in several organizations. Worrell is also actively engaged in the community, serving on various boards and commissions. These include the Harford Chamber of Commerce, the Harford Community College Foundation Board, the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation Board, the Springboard Family Services Community Leadership Board, and the Harford County Public School's Blueprint for Success Steering Committee. Additionally, she chairs the Harford County Economic Development Advisory Board.
