Grant Opportunity: Support RNs in Rural LTC Settings

The American Nurses Foundation (ANF), the philanthropic arm of the American Nurses Association, is offering a funding opportunity to support nurse well-being in rural and long-term care settings.

Part of a larger, three-year $3.1 million partnership between ANF and the United Health Foundation, this grant program aims to expand the reach of the Nurse Well-Being: Building Peer and Leadership Support curriculum to underserved environments where support structures are urgently needed.

The initiative focuses on reducing nurse burnout and attrition by implementing the Stress First Aid model-a proven framework originally developed for high-risk professions and adapted to meet the needs of nurses. The model emphasizes peer support and leadership engagement to help nurses recover from stress reactions and build long-term resilience.

ANF is offering up to five mini-grants of $10,000 each, and the deadline to apply is May 20, 2025.
