This fall, take a step toward health, safety, and stronger communities! On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, schools across Baldwin County will join thousands of others nationwide to celebrate National Walk and Roll to School Day.

The Baldwin County Safe Routes to School Coalition proudly leads this annual county-wide event. This yearly fall event is more than just a stroll to school, it's about building healthier habits, creating safer streets, and strengthening community connections. Together, we show that small steps can make a big difference in our health, our neighborhoods, and our environment.

How it works:
  • Each school hosts a Walk & Roll event, with event details determined by the school.
  • Families, students, and school staff meet at a designated spot a mile or less from the school.
  • Students, teachers, and community members make the journey together, transforming a regular school day into a celebration of community pride.
Participating Schools:
  • Fairhope West Elementary
  • Fairhope East Elementary (Oct. 10)
  • Daphne Elementary
  • Daphne East Elementary
  • Bay Minette Elementary
  • Summerdale School
  • Florence B. Mathis Elementary
  • Foley Elementary
  • Gulf Shores City Schools
  • Orange Beach Elementary
  • St. Patrick Catholic School

Ready to take the first step? Reach out to your local school to learn more about how you can participate. Whether you walk, roll, or cheer from the sidelines, you'll be making an impact in your communities.
