Resurfacing Update: May 20, 2026

BLOOMINGTON, IL - The City of Bloomington provides regular updates on resurfacing work throughout the construction season. The most recent update is included below.

FY26 Resurfacing

E. Oakland Ave, west of Prospect through Hershey

  • Installation of the pavement striping has been completed
  • Final clean-up is in progress

Prospect Rd, Oakland to Empire

Stage 1: S. Prospect Rd. (Oakland to Washington)

  • Installation of the pavement striping has been completed
  • Final clean-up is in progress

Stage 2: N. Prospect Rd. (Washington to Empire)

  • Installation of the pavement striping has been completed
  • Final clean-up is in progress

E. Washington St, Veterans through Hershey

  • Installation of the pavement striping has been completed
  • Final clean-up is in progress

FY27 Resurfacing

Eastland Dr, Fairway to Hershey

Stage 1: Fairway to Veterans

  • This section will be started after the completion of St. Joseph Drive
  • The limits and layout of the work zone has been completed

Stage 2: Veterans to Hershey

  • The limits and layout of the work zone has been completed
  • Underground utility locations have been requested
  • Installation of traffic control has been completed
  • Removal of the underground utility castings has been scheduled to start May 11
  • Removal and replacement of the concrete items has been scheduled to start May 11
  • Removal and replacement of the underground utility work has been scheduled to start May 11

St. Joseph Dr, Washington to Eastland

  • The limits and layout of the work zone has been completed
  • Underground utility locations have been requested
  • Installation of traffic control has been completed
  • Removal of the underground utility castings has been scheduled to start May 11
  • Removal and replacement of the concrete items has been scheduled to start May 11
  • Removal and replacement of the underground utility work has been scheduled to start May 11

Four Seasons Rd, Oakland through the cul-de-sac

  • The limits and layout of the work zone has been completed
  • Construction will not start until May 26
