Congressman Sorensen Statement on Severe Weather Across Northern Illinois

ROCK ISLAND, IL - Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) released the following statement in response to the severe storms that touched down across Northern Illinois on Friday night:

"I'm thinking about all of the families impacted by the tornadoes and severe weather last night, and I am grateful to all of the first responders who continue to put themselves in harm's way to keep our neighbors safe. While tracking the storms, I reached out to Congressman LaHood as soon as I realized the community of Lena had been hit. As the community lies just beyond the border of the 17th Congressional District, I offered to work together to expedite any federal support. It's important in the weeks and months ahead to help neighbors pick up the pieces and rebuild. It's what makes our way of life so special here."
