Six Northern Michigan University faculty members have received Reassigned Time Awards for the winter 2026 semester that kicked off this week. Each award provides up to four credit hours of release time to support scholarly activities.
The recipients' names, departments and research proposal titles are:

Michaele Andriacchi, Nursing, "Implementing an Anatomage Table in a Pathophysiology Course for Nursing Students"
Robert Whalen, English, "George Herbert: Cambridge Orator [I]"
Anna Zimmer, Departments of Languages, Literatures and International Studies, "Find a TV: A Devised Theatrical Work about U.P. Memories of 9/11"
Vikash Kumar, Social Work, "Evaluating International Learning Experiences: A Framework for Enhancing Cultural Competency in Study-Abroad Programs"
