Norton Rose Fulbright advises Trammell Crow Company on the acquisition of a last mile industrial development in Munich

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Trammell Crow Company (TCC), a leading commercial real estate developer, on the acquisition of an approximately 16,750 sqm land plot in Taufkirchen, near Munich.

The project is being developed as a joint venture with AEW, one of the world's leading real estate investment and asset management firms.

The development will comprise two buildings offering flexibly configurable space, with the potential to be subdivided into up to seven individual units. The project meets high sustainability standards and will include, among other features, the installation of photovoltaic panels, a green roof, and certification under the DGNB system, targeting a minimum Gold standard.

Completion of the development is scheduled for Q4 2026 and will deliver energy efficient, future proof space for commercial occupiers in southern Germany. With this acquisition, TCC and AEW further expand their joint portfolio of high quality industrial developments across Germany and Europe.

Lead partner Dr. Maren Stölting (real estate, Munich) commented:
"This transaction continues our successful track record advising on industrial real estate. The acquisition underscores the growing importance of sustainable last mile developments in the Greater Munich area. We are delighted to have supported Trammell Crow Company on this strategic investment."

The Norton Rose Fulbright team led by partner Dr. Maren Stölting also included counsel Dr. Britta Jilge (real estate, Munich) and senior associates Sarah Heufelder (tax, Munich) and Tankred Freiberger (real estate, Munich).
