Polk County Fire Rescue Ambulance Involved in Three-Vehicle Crash

Bartow, Fla. (Sept. 12, 2026) - While responding to a call with lights and sirens on, a Polk County Fire Rescue ambulance was involved in a three-vehicle crash at 11:26 a.m. Sept. 12 at the intersection of Bayberry Street and Marigold Avenue in Poinciana.
Four patients were transported by ground to local hospitals, including both PCFR members on the ambulance and one occupant from each of the two other vehicles.
Polk County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the crash. All traffic lanes are currently open but experiencing backups. Please avoid the area if possible.
