Halpern Enterprises' Jimmy Cushman and his wife, Jackie, received the 2026 Trust for Public Land Conservation Trailblazer Award. The Cushmans were honored during TPL's recent Celebration of Land event. For more than two decades, Jackie and Jimmy have advanced TPL's mission through their leadership, generosity, and love of the outdoors.
"Through visionary leadership, steadfast generosity, and a deep love for community and conservation, Jackie and Jimmy Cushman have expanded access to the outdoors and protected places that nourish both people and planet," said George Dusenbury, Georgia State Director for Trust for Public Land. "Their impact will be felt for generations."
Trust for Public Land (TPL) is a national nonprofit that works to connect everyone to the benefits and joys of the outdoors. As a leader in equitable access to the outdoors, TPL partners with communities to create parks and protect public land where they are needed most. In Georgia, TPL has protected more than 24,000 acres of land and completed over 230 park, trail, and schoolyard projects.
By supporting TPL's work to connect people to the outdoors, Jimmy and Jackie have helped change the lives of millions of Georgians, improving mental and physical health and well-being, enhancing educational outcomes for children, strengthening climate resilience in vulnerable communities, and catalyzing new opportunities and development.
