NAPA COUNTY - The Napa County Election Division has released the initial unofficial results for the November 4, 2025 Statewide Special Election. The first report contains the results from 28,064 ballots that represent a 32.49% turnout of the 86,390 ballots mailed to voters on October 6, 2025. The ballots in this first count were returned by Nov. 1 through the mail, in one of the county's 11 secure drop boxes, or dropped off at a vote center.
"This first report contains approximately 40 to 45% of our projected turnout," said Napa County Registrar of Voters John Tuteur.
In-person ballots from vote centers will be counted on Election Night beginning at 8 p.m. and updated approximately every two hours until completed.
The first unofficial post-election night report will be released on Friday, Nov. 7 in the late afternoon. Further counts are scheduled on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Nov. 10, 12, and 13, or until 95% of all ballots received have been counted. The final certified count will be released on December 2, 2025.
