Webster Votes to Pass FY26 National Defense Authorization Act

"I voted to pass this legislation to ensure that America's military remains prepared, equipped, and focused on its core mission of defending our nation," said Rep. Webster. "The Constitution requires Congress to provide for the common defense, and my vote for the FY26 NDAA fulfills that requirement. This NDAA strengthens our Armed Forces, supports our service members and their families, and ensures taxpayer dollars are directed toward mission readiness rather than political agendas."

H.R. 3838, FY26 National Defense Authorization Act makes 15 of President Trump's executive orders law while also authorizing a nearly 4% pay raise for all service members and funding Golden Dome, F-47 fighter aircraft, submarines, warships and autonomous vehicles. It also authorizes funds to accomplish the administration's goal of revitalizing America's defense industrial base, expanding defense manufacturing jobs in America and restoring our defense supply chains on American soil.

The bill also

• Fully funds deployment of National Guard to support Border Patrol secure the southwest border.
• Authorizes over $22 billion for the construction of new submarines, destroyers, and an aircraft carrier to strengthen America's naval power.
• Provides $38 billion for the development, procurement, or modification of new fighter jets, helicopters, and next-generation aircraft.
• Authorizes $15 billion to rebuild America's stockpile of munitions, including missiles, rockets, and artillery.
• Saves taxpayers $20 billion by eliminating DEI programs, radical climate-related spending and retiring obsolete weapons.
• Invests 142 billion for next-generation technologies like hypersonics, AI, quantum computing, and other systems.
