Secretary of State Diego Morales' Office Hosts

Election Study Public Meeting in Evansville

EVANSVILLE- (September 26, 2025) - Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales announces his office will hold an Election Study Public Meeting in Evansville on Tuesday, September 30, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Vanderburgh Public Library Central Branch at 200 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Browning Event Room.

As required by HEA 1633, signed into law earlier this year, the Secretary of State's Office is conducting a series of statewide studies on two important election issues:

  • The timing of municipal elections, including the consideration of moving them to presidential or midterm election years.
  • Whether or not to use vote centers across Indiana.

The law also requires public meetings. We want to hear from Hoosiers in support or in opposition to these election issues. More public meetings are scheduled.

Findings from meetings, along with election data collected from local election administrators and the Election Assistance Commission's Election Administration and Voting Survey (EAVS), will be compiled into a report for the Legislative Council.

Invite is attached.
