Mr Orbán wrote: "I've been a Member of Parliament for 35 years. But I don't remember a single incident when anyone attended a public forum, carrying a gun, saying that their trigger finger is itching."
"How can this be allowed to happen? It seems that in Tisza this actually happened," he added.
Mr Orbán stressed that there was no place for guns, violence or armed orators in public life.
"The world around us is becoming ever more brutal, there is one tragedy after the other, from Bratislava to America. Hungary must be allowed to remain an island of peace," the Prime Minister wrote in conclusion.
