The Parliament building at 2 Narodno Sabranie Square was illuminated in green on 11 October 2025, in support of European Organ Donation and Transplantation Day, marked each year on the initiative of the Council of Europe.

On this occasion, the President of Parliament Nataliya Kiselova stated that the National Assembly supports the information campaign to promote organ donation.

In this way, we pay well-deserved tribute to organ donors and express our gratitude to their families for their humanity and compassion for the pain of others, shown at the most difficult moment. Today's initiative is also an expression of support for the medical teams working in the field of transplantation, who give people a second chance at life, she emphasized. European Organ Donation and Transplantation Day aims to attract more and more people to this noble cause, to emphasize the importance of saving human lives, and to increase public confidence in the process, Nataliya Kiselova added.

Parliament's involvement in the information campaign comes at the invitation of the Executive Agency for Medical Supervision, which is organizing a series of events to mark the European Organ Donation and Transplantation Day.
