Paris-Dentons has advised on the award and financing of the concession for Félix-Éboué Airport by the French government.
The state awarded a 30-year concession to operate the airport to a consortium led by Egis, alongside Caisse des Dépôts, Alyse Guyane, the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de la Guyane, and the construction company Léon Grosse.
The concession agreement is accompanied by a significant investment program aimed at enhancing the passenger experience and developing airport infrastructure. As a strategic airport for French Guiana, Félix-Éboué serves as the main gateway to the region via its long-haul and international connections. It also plays a key role in land-use planning, logistics related to the Guiana Space Center, and matters of security and sovereignty.
Dentons advised the winning consortium on the financing of the transaction for an amount of approximately €130 million provided by BRED Banque Populaire, Caisse d'Épargne et de Prévoyance Île-de-France, Caisse d'Épargne CEPAC, and La Banque Postale.
Dentons' Banking and Finance team in France was led by Jean-Marc Allix, Partner; and included Steeve Jaskierowicz, Counsel; and Anne-Héloïse Crisaniac, Associate.
