M-58 (State Street) intersection closing for storm sewer work July 8-10 in Saginaw

SAGINAW, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the M-58 (State Street)/Warwick Street intersection in Saginaw for storm sewer installation from Wednesday, July 8, to Friday, July 10. Northbound and southbound traffic will temporarily not be able to cross M-58 (State Street) through this intersection during this work.

Eastbound M-58 (State Street) is currently closed and detoured onto westbound M-58 (Davenport Avenue). Westbound M-58 was converted into a two-way road with a temporary center turn lane for the duration of this project.

This work is part of a project to rebuild 1.1 miles of eastbound M-58 (State Street) from Avalon Avenue to M-84 (Bay Street) in Saginaw. Work includes hot-mix asphalt rebuilding; new concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks; signal upgrades; signs; landscaping and pavement markings. MDOT is also coordinating with the City of Saginaw to make upgrades to city sewers and water mains.

This work is weather dependent.
