Homicide - West Wendover Ave
Greensboro Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a teenager Tuesday night.
GPD officers, Greensboro Fire, and Guilford County EMS responded to 4524 West Wendover Ave. to a report of a shooting and located a juvenile with at least one gunshot wound. Investigators determined the shooting did not occur at that location and that the victim had been brought there by private vehicle.
The juvenile was transported to Moses Cone Hospital, where the juvenile was declared deceased.
A juvenile has been charged in reference to the death in this case.
This is the city's ninth homicide of 2026.
This is an active investigation. Additional details are not immediately available for release.
