ATLANTA - The Georgia House of Representatives' Committee on Assignments reappointed State Representative Rep. Robert Dickey (R-Musella) as the Chairman of the House Agriculture & Consumer Affairs Committee.

"Agriculture is the backbone of Georgia's economy, and I am committed to ensuring that our policies support farmers, protect consumers and strengthen this vital industry for generations to come."
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.
The House Agricultural and Consumer Affairs Committee considers legislation that impacts Georgia's largest economic industry, agriculture. Other areas of concern are human nutrition, consumer consumption of food and its safety aspects and the plant industry.

Representative Robert Dickey represents the citizens of District 134, which includes Crawford and Upson counties, as well as portions of Lamar and Peach counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2011 and currently serves as Chairman of the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, Banks and Banking, Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications, Higher Education, Natural Resources and Environment and Ways and Means committees, as well as the Special Committee on Resource Management.
