IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 22, 2026 RPNM releases statement on incident at Mar-a-Lago this morning Albuquerque, NM - Chairwoman Amy Barela releases the following statement on the shooting and suspected assassination attempt at Mar-a-Lago earlier this morning: "The Republican Party of New Mexico is thankful for the heroes in our U.S. Secret Service and all law enforcement who keep our country, and our President safe," said Chairwoman Barela. "Political violence, in all its forms, has no place here and we are thankful whatever harm this person intended was stopped before anyone was hurt. We continue to pray for our country and our leaders and that these politically-motivated attacks come to an end." ### |
